🛌 हिप रिप्लेसमेन्टपछि एकपटक सहजै खुट्टा क्रस गर्दा नयाँ जोर्नी सकेटबाट निस्किन सक्छ। मेरुदण्डको सर्जरीपछि एकपटक बटारिँदा सबै मर्मत बिग्रन सक्छ। पोजिसनिङ आरामका लागि होइन। यो उपचार हो।
🛌 After a hip replacement, one casual leg-cross can pop the new joint out of its socket. After spinal surgery, one twist can undo the whole repair. Positioning is not comfort. It is treatment.

After a POSTERIOR hip replacement: keep the legs ABDUCTED with a wedge pillow, no hip flexion beyond 90 degrees (no low chairs, no bending to tie shoes), no crossing the legs and no internal rotation; use a raised toilet seat. After SPINAL surgery: LOG ROLL as one unit with the spine aligned, with enough staff. After a lumbar puncture: lie flat for the ordered time to reduce headache. SEMI-FOWLER'S (30 degrees) and HIGH FOWLER'S (60 to 90) ease breathing; dyspneic clients often do best sitting up and leaning forward on an overbed table (orthopneic position). After a THYROIDECTOMY: semi-Fowler's with the head supported, avoiding neck hyperextension. ENEMAS and rectal medications: left SIMS' position, which follows the sigmoid colon. After an above-knee AMPUTATION: avoid prolonged hip flexion and lie prone for periods to prevent contractures, if tolerated. After a liver biopsy: lie on the RIGHT side to compress the site. Unconscious clients: lateral to protect the airway. Turn immobile clients at least every 2 hours.
