👶 한 엄마가 10개월 된 아기가 '아직 걷지 못한다'며 걱정해요. 다른 엄마는 10개월 된 아기가 '혼자 앉지 못한다'고 말해요. 둘 중 하나는 소아과 의사에게 물어봐야 할 문제예요. 시험은 어느 쪽인지 아는지를 물어봐요.

👶 A mother says her 10-month-old 'isn't walking yet' and is worried. A different mother says her 10-month-old 'doesn't sit up alone.' One of those is a question for the pediatrician. The exam expects you to know which.

💡 핵심 개념

미소 2, 목 가누기 3–4, 뒤집기 4–6, 앉기 6–8, 기기 8–10, 집게 잡기 9–12, 걷기 12–15. 이미 얻은 기술을 잃는 것은 항상 위험 신호예요.

Smile 2, head 3–4, roll 4–6, sit 6–8, crawl 8–10, pincer 9–12, walk 12–15. Losing a skill already gained is always a red flag.

🧠 왜 중요한가요

발달은 머리에서 발끝으로(두미 방향), 중심에서 바깥으로(근원 방향) 진행돼요. 대략 이렇게 진행돼요: 2개월까지 사회적 미소, 3~4개월까지 목 가누기, 4~6개월에 뒤집기(앞에서 뒤로 먼저), 6~8개월에 도움 없이 앉기, 낯가림은 6~8개월에 시작, 8~10개월에 기기, 9~12개월까지 집게 잡기, 9개월 무렵 잡고 일어서기, 12~15개월에 걷기, 첫 단어는 12개월 무렵, 두 단어 문장은 2세까지예요. 출생 체중은 6개월 무렵 두 배가 되고 12개월에는 세 배가 돼요. 후천문은 2~3개월, 전천문은 12~18개월까지 닫혀요. 첫 이는 6개월 무렵 나요. 아직 할 때가 되지 않은 기술은 정상이지만, 예상 범위를 넘어서도 이루지 못한 이정표나 이미 얻은 기술을 잃는 경우에는 '지켜보기'보다 추적 관찰과 발달 선별검사가 필요해요.

Development proceeds HEAD TO TOE (cephalocaudal) and CENTER OUTWARD (proximodistal). Roughly: SOCIAL SMILE by 2 months; HEAD CONTROL by 3 to 4 months; ROLLS over at 4 to 6 months (front to back first); SITS without support at 6 to 8 months; STRANGER ANXIETY begins 6 to 8 months; CRAWLS at 8 to 10 months; PINCER GRASP by 9 to 12 months; PULLS TO STAND around 9 months; WALKS at 12 to 15 months; first WORDS around 12 months and two-word phrases by 2 years. Birth weight DOUBLES by about 6 months and TRIPLES by 12 months. The posterior fontanel closes by 2 to 3 months and the anterior by 12 to 18 months. The first tooth erupts around 6 months. A skill not yet due is normal; a milestone missed past its expected range, or a loss of skills already gained, needs follow-up and developmental screening rather than 'wait and see'.
