🧠 왜 중요한가요
농축 칼륨은 절대 IV 푸시하지 않는데(NEVER PUSH), 심장을 멈추게 하기 때문이에요. 희석해서 펌프로 주입해요. 서방형, 지속형, 장용정 정제(라벨의 XL, ER, SR, EC, XR)는 절대 으깨지 않는데(NEVER CRUSH), 으깨면 하루 치 용량이 한꺼번에 쏟아지거나 위나 약물을 보호하는 코팅이 파괴돼요. 약사에게 속효성 제형을 요청해요. 흉관은 일상적으로 절대 잠그지 않는데(NEVER CLAMP), 갇힌 공기가 쌓여 긴장성 기흉이 되기 때문이에요. 관이 분리되면 끝을 멸균수에 담그고, 관이 빠지면 구멍을 세 면만 테이프로 붙인 밀폐 드레싱으로 덮어요.
NEVER PUSH concentrated potassium IV; it stops the heart. Dilute and pump. NEVER CRUSH extended-release, sustained-release or enteric-coated tablets (XL, ER, SR, EC, XR on the label); crushing dumps a whole day's dose at once or destroys the coating that protects the stomach or the drug. Ask the pharmacist for an immediate-release form. NEVER CLAMP a chest tube routinely; trapped air builds into a tension pneumothorax. If the tubing disconnects, put the end in sterile water; if the tube comes out, cover the hole with an occlusive dressing taped on three sides.
